Before I got into meditation, I struggled to make time for it. I thought it was a bit of a fad and therefore it didn't deserve much of my time - I could be optimising my time for other productive tasks. Then, I did a meditation retreat and without getting into the nitty-gritty, let's just say it really changed my perspective - That there's a Monkey-mind at play in my life (apparently many others' too), which was something I recognised intellectually but never grasped its modus operandi.
Now I try to make time to meditate daily, but it isn't easy. In the hustle and bustle of the grinding life in

Inner space is run by dedicated woman that I so admire & respect. After so many years meditating (& silent retreats) I leave feeling happy & inspired. I will always feel such an affinity with them, their beliefs & always treasure the inner peace, silence & deep love I feel. To this day I still meditate their way even now I have left London Thank you all at Inner Space for your very precious views on our existence

I was intrigued to find this store. As you walk in you see 3 or 4 posters hanging up suspended from the ceiling, cool. They have a range of meditation orientated books, music, posters and accessories.
Apparently they offer free courses here to learn how to meditate. The women who worked here was very nice and helpful. You kind of felt at peace in this store, which was kinda quite and relaxing.
I really like this store and will come back when I have more time to explore the offerings more fully.

Free meditation lessons anyone? That's what this little store in Covent Garden aka "The Meditation Shop" offers... together with the token meditation CD's and books on Eastern enlightenment. Obviously, nothing in life is free... so I signed up for the lessons anticipating a catch... but we'll get to that later.

Inner Space is run by the international organisation Brahma Kumaris, who believe in the positive power of meditation. In hectic Covent Garden this place provides a perfect calming respite. They offer free meditation lessons, but more uniquely a quiet room, provided solely for the purposes of, well, quietness and relaxation. The room is softly lit and plays soft soothing music and has comfy chairs, well worth bearing in mind when the demands of the shops become too much.
