Please go to: Our school - Remote Education 2021, to find all policies related to school's current operational procedures. As part of God's family, we at St Anne's are inspired by the Gospel way of life. We aspire for our school to be truly at the centre of the community - a place where children and parents feel confident and comfortable to seek help, guidance and support should they need it.

We aim to continually strengthen the vital partnership between home and school and we recognise, and value, parents as the first educators of their children. All parents want their children to feel safe, secure and happy at school. They also want their children to achieve. We want the same. At St Anne's Catholic Primary all children are encouraged, supported and challenged to become the best they can be in a loving and caring environment.

At St Anne's Primary school we recognise that the teaching of the writing process is inextricably linked to the teaching of Reading and Speaking and Listening. Consequently, teachers use a variety of teaching methods and emphasis in the teaching of writing which reflects this.

Furthermore, we recognise children as individualised learners, and as such, plan lessons to include visual, auditory and kinaesthetic approaches where appropriate which best suit the needs of the children. At St Anne's, English is at the heart of our curriculum. Our principal aim is to develop children's knowledge, skills, and understanding and in order to do this we have adapted the way we teach English.
In January, the Prime Minister announced that the country would be going into another National Lockdown. The vast majority of our children will be educated remotely. We have to limit the children in school to those of Critical workers or those who are classed as vulnerable. To keep the children, the staff, our parents and the wider community safe, we have to limit the number of children in each bubble to 15.
We are all really pleased that our school has been judged as good overall, and in all inspection areas. We love to hear how you, our parents, think we are performing as a school and to act on the feedback we receive. Our school website, mobile app and podcasts are created using School Jotter, a Webanywhere product.
Our journey in faith starts at home. As parents, you are the first educators of your children, and by choosing to baptise your child you have made your intention clear that you wish to raise your child within the Catholic faith.

We aim to work in close partnership with you, strengthening links between home, school and parish, so that together we can enable the children to grow and flourish, whilst nurturing and encouraging their individual talents along the way.Being a Catholic school, Christ is present in every aspect of our daily lives.
We are a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, diverse school in the heart of the Community that promotes cohesion, tolerance and respect for all people at all times. We work tirelessly to ensure our children can go forward as respectful, tolerant young people who can contribute positively to the world in which they will live, grow and participate in.
