Goodrich is a large, friendly school where children make excellent progress and we aim for high standards for all in every subject. The school, which was built in 1886, is actually made up of four buildings. Over time there have been schools for all ages on this site, including a Secondary girls' school, a one-form Infants school and even adult education in the Lythgoe building.

From inspirational stories of individuals to stories of destruction, violence, war and romance, history has it all. Children can judge the actions of people and societies of the past to discover the motivations behind decisions that still influence us today.

By building up their knowledge and developing skills of analysis, children are taught to look at the reliability and prejudice of evidence so that they are equipped to imagine a better future for themselves. They can learn by the mistakes of the past and hold onto the stories of people whose actions inspire them.
In these unusual times visiting the school isn't always going to be possible or something which you may wish to carry out. However we are aware of how important it is to get a feel for a school when you are applying for the first time or thinking of changing schools. Visiting and experiencing the classrooms, meeting staff, parents and children cannot be substituted but we hope the content below will help.
Community School Governors have oversight of the conduct of the school and, in partnership with the Headteacher and Southwark Council, the responsibility for providing the National Curriculum. Governors also provide essential links between the school and the local community and between the school and the Council.
We welcome parents and carers on our monthly tours of Goodrich School. The tours are led by one of our teaching staff who share their knowledge of the school and answer any questions. We visit classrooms and talk to children which we hope will help you get a really good feel of our school during the working day.
The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is well above average. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities is average. The school meets the current government floor standards, which set out the minimum expectations for attainment and progress of pupils by the end of Year 6.

I feel the school discriminate against certain children, my child’s work was compared to another child in order to make her look stupid by the head teacher, she also sustained a injury above her eye resulting in 2 ops and 8 stitches, I did not receive an apology from the head teacher for this and she’s scarred for life,

This is terrible school if your child has any special needs, for example if they are an adopted/looked after child or has ADHD.
