Five of us booked at the last minute having had an emergency call to say that a family member was about to pass away. We were welcomed and carefully looked after by Daniel. Everything was excellent. We had great dinner service, happy hour drinks and very comfortable rooms. This is a small but very professionally managed hotel and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience after a very bad day. Thank you all for your care, professionalism and excellent service. Cannot thank you or recommend you all enough. Have a great 2022. You deserve it. Bill & Angie

Very comfortable small hotel with lots of character that is also dog friendly. A small bag of treats was provided in the room with a bowl and feeding mat. There was also a small park directly opposite which was great for the dog.
Two slight issues were a very small sink in the shower room and coffee tables for breakfast in the bar (because dog not allowed in the restaurant) which were not ideal for cooked breakfast.
An enjoyable 2 night stay.

Just spent a night here with a party of 7 old students for a reunion.
We were mightily impressed.
The public areas and rooms are attractively furnished and equipped.
The level of service and cuisine are quite outstanding for a hotel of this level...for any hotel, in fact.
The young serving staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful.
The food itself was excellent.
You can tell a lot from small details. Prunes, for example. Not everyones 'cup of tea' I accept, but the Clarence Courts were some of the plumpest, and softest I have ever experienced. Similarly the battered fish, quite the best

Very helpful, friendly staff. We stayed 2 nights in Wellesley. Nice big room good bathroom. They are making improvements and painting so a little dust but it's OK. Breakfast was superb. We also had dinner there both nights and it was very good especially the fish and chips. Parking is a bit limited but managed to park both nights OK. Would certainly recommend.
