We visited here in August, my wife, my 5 and 8 year olds and me, as a birthday treat, not for the children, but for me. I am a professional storyteller, author and run a museum and heritage site. This museum has been on my radar for sometime and I was keen to see what they had managed to acheive. I was not dissapointed. From the start, everything seemed to have been thought about, especially as we were still in the middle of a pandemic, from wireless headphones that got cleaned between each group to your own magic wand used to activate things meaning you did not need to touch anything and staggered

At first I thought I was abit silly visiting a museum for children but I, a 26 year old woman, really enjoyed my visit. In the first half, you get headphones and wands and listen to various short stories, each unique and mildly entertaining. The decor in this part was just mind-blowing. It actually felt like a fairy tale forest.
The second part was different sections on different tales and authors. The gentleman working there was enthusiastic and knew his stuff. This part gave me nostalgia as I was an avid reader as a kid. The different sections reminded me of books I had long forgotten. Classic

My daughter is 4 and is non verbal and autistic and has global developmental delay. She absolutely loved the SMALLER WORLDS SECTION as it was stories and paintings of books that were appropriate for her. THE GALLERIES part is better suited for slightly older children who enjoy reading and undertand the makeup of the rooms and displays. Regardless of all that it is amazingly set out and a lot of effort has gone into it and for children who love reading, it is well worth it!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again!

What a fantastic place!
They have put so much effort in to really capturing the imaginations of the children, of all ages. Our little girl turns 1 in a few days and lived exploring the different story worlds. I can see she will get a lot out of this place for years to come.
First class afternoon at incredibly good prices!
Staff were amazing, facilities are spot on.
