Hi, my name is Sean Burgess. I am a strength and conditioning coach / personal trainer who also regularly doubles up as an academic lecturer, injury therapist and sports coach. To give you some background about my career journey, I first qualified and started working in the fitness industry back in 2006.
Our purpose is to pass on empowering knowledge and training guidance in order to have a positive impact on the health and fitness of everyone we work with. To become the most recognised independent fitness service provider amongst the large populations of both Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset. To provide a personalised health and fitness service that unlocks every individual's true potential so they can achieve their desired goals.

I have been training with Sean and the SB Fitness team for a few years now and I would definitely recommend group training as I feel so much fitter and the team are all great, the sessions are always varied & good fun.

I have seen a few online PT sessions before but none of them come close to matching the intensity and beneficial variety of targeted workouts that Sean runs you through.

Following an Achilles heel injury that had plagued me for a while and meant that I was unable to run I booked an appointment with Emma .
Emma assessed and treated my injury and gave me a rehab program including a range of specific stretches.
I followed the program closely and am now pain and injury free and have returned to running.
I recommend Sean’s physio service and Emma’s professionalism very highly

Sean is a fantastic PT he is so knowledgeable, professional and has helped to me achieve my goals. I have trained with Sean over the years and he has helped me to lose weight after having both my children. Even though I have put it back on at each pregnancy he has helped me to lost it again. Then came the covid lockdown weight gain which again he has always been there to support me with the goal for that moment in time. Sean is trained in nutrition and physiotherapy, I have suffered with various issues over the last few years and Sean has been able to tailor my fitness to support my needs. Would

Friendly, motivating and extremely knowledgeable, Sean Burgess is the best personal trainer I've ever encountered, and kept me going when I struggled to motivate myself to work out. He will push you out of your comfort zone and you will see some incredible gains! Could not recommend this man more, well worth his modest pricing.

Sean is an incredibly knowledgeable PT who really takes his time to get to know you and understand what you need. He identified so many of my issues so quickly - issues I didn't even know I had - and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked through the door. I would highly recommend personal training with Sean and Sean Burgess Fitness. After putting on weight rapidly due to medication I was at a loss with my usual exercise routine which didn’t have any positive impact on the weight I had gained. Sean helped me reset my goals and introduced me to a new way of exercising including strength training. Slowly I have rebuilt my confidence and lost all the weight. Sean and the team at Sean Burgess Fitness are professional and sessions are hard work but always enjoyable.

I would highly recommend SB Fitness, the level of knowledge Sean brings is exceptional without being too overstated and he has a great ability to coach you through exercises in a simple easy to understand way. He is very friendly and easy to get on with and gets to know you quickly which helps in the judgement of when to push you harder. As a complement to our Personal Training sessions Sean's great nutrition guidance has also really helped me and boost my all-round energy levels, after just a few months I feel completely different and a lot healthier.
