Nannies for Grannies started was in 2014 by Kay and her Business Partner, Shelley. Both were inspired in part by their own experiences of caring for older family members. They realized that it was difficult to find someone to cover for them when they were too far away to help their loved ones.
It soon became apparent that this would also be the same issue other families were facing when looking for home care for their senior parents or family members.Kay has a wide range of experiences looking after children with special educational needs and students with learning difficulties, so is well placed to apply the skills of empathy and understanding to the older generation.

Nannies4Grannies have found a niche market for giving care and companionship to lonely elderly people who do not need personal care such as dressing and washing. They have an excellent team of carers who have are able to cope with the unusual situations that elderly people throw at them They have been able to look after my wife who craves companionship whilst giving me some time for respite. I don't know how I would have managed without them, particularly over the ongoing lockdown period

My grandmother had a fall earlier this year and has since been unable to complete some basic tasks, which greatly upset her. Not waiting her to loose her independence, I recommended Nannies 4 Grannies to her. After their first 3 months working together my grandmother is back to her former self thanks to the help of Nannies 4 Grannies, she's once again regained her independence on her own terms. Well recommended!
