Chingford House School

I'd like to personally invite you to visit our Nursery School where I know you will find boys and girls thoroughly engaged in their learning. I can take you on a tour of our classrooms and garden, introduce you to our teaching staff and answer any questions that you may have.

We have one or two open evenings a year when existing parents can find out more about life at the nursery school and new parents can discover the wealth of learning opportunities on offer.By appointment, parents are very welcome to come and look around when convenient to them. I very much hope that, once you see Chingford House Nursery School, it is the place that you will choose for your son or daughter in the early years of their education.

Parents and children tell us how much they love the atmosphere, environment and sense of community they find at our Nursery. Our children come from many different cultures and backgrounds and our teachers have a broad range of experiences and skills. We are nestled in the suburban streets of Chingford and our Nursery is an oasis of activity.

Your child's happiness and development is very important to us and we design our daily programme to make sure every child has a healthy balance of group teaching, one-to-one work and personal time to initiate their own play. The curriculum we offer to children from two months to five years old is developed in line with the Early Years Foundation stage guidelines, set out by Central Government.

We employ highly committed and dedicated nursery staff, many of whom hold the appropriate Level 3 and Level 2 nursery qualifications. Each member of staff regularly participates in training to keep them informed about changes in the education and care sector and to develop their teaching skills. Our team leaders are trained in first aid.

We serve vegetarian food plus fish and are very conscious that all our meals include fresh vegetables and fruit. The specific dietary needs of individual children are paid close attention to and we keep a register of any allergies. All food is prepared on the premises and the menu of the day can be seen in the Nursery entrance on our notice board.
