As most lovers of cask ale know, water is the most important ingredient in beer, and Wells Bombardier has an enviable natural advantage over other premium bitters; it is uniquely brewed using natural mineral water from an independently accredited source - our own well.Pale brown in appearance with a bitter after taste, Courage Best Bitter consumers enjoy its lower ABV of 4% that allows them the opportunity to enjoy their favourite ale for longer.

So disappointing, lovely looking pub.
The great Xmas decorations when you arrive lead you to believe this could be quite special. We chose it for the good reviews and great looking menu.
Unfortunately it was poor, they had a Xmas party in and we were left with a reduced menu because of this, we were not told a reduced menu was in place before we arrived.
The food was basic. Two of the dishes we ordered were well under what was expected, an 8oz rump steak, chips, onion rings turned up as what can only be described as a medallion! Not 8oz, no chips or rings. We asked for the chips and was asked

Fantastic meal for 7 in the private dining room at short notice on a Saturday night. The car park was full when we arrived which is always reassuring to see.
All the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent with lots of choice for everyone and the Christmas lights outside look amazing.
Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Quite secluded village with this amazing pub in the centre! Came here for an afternoon meal and was not disappointed. Staff are polite and always there to help. Ordered the soup which was beautifully made nice and creamy, and the lamb was cooked to perfection 10/10. Would highly recommend and will be 100% returning while I'm away.

Coming into the village with its golden Marlstone cottages is inviting enough! then to come across The Moon and Sixpence is the icing on the cake... The menu is imaginative without being pretentious, so I feel sure that there is something you would like. The restaurant food is cooked to perfection, tastes full of flavour and is presented well. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, letting you sit how and where you like, whether it's the garden, patio, bar or restaurant. It costs a little more than a "cheaper" pub, but this is a case where you definitely get what you pay for. There is plenty
