Prima Pizzeria
Franco and his family often travel to meet suppliers in Italy in search of the finest wines and ingredients and recipe inspiration. We have been serving traditional Italian food with great success since 1985 which has made us one of the most popular restaurants in the area. The combination of a cosy atmosphere and high standards of food at reasonable prices, make booking highly recommended.

Only a two minute walk from either Ripon Market Place or the Cathedral, Prima Pizzeria is very conveniently located at 33 Kirkgate. The house "Blackboard Menu" is updated on a regular basis to accommodate for fresh seafood and seasonal game. We provide an Early Bird menu from 4.30pm until 6.30pm and a children's menu is available.

Fast service, friendly staff, fair prices, and some well-tasty honest Italian food. The swordfish special was superbly cooked. My family will definitely be coming back.

It’s been a long time since I was last here but it didn’t disappoint. Still amazing food. Lovely atmosphere and a genuine Italian owner ‘Franco’ who has had it for oooh about 100 years !! 🤣 We will be back. 😊

A fantastic Italian Restaurant, where advance booking is essential. The attached image was taken from outside Prima facing the Cathedral. The food and service at Prima are second to none, and when visiting Ripon I'd gp EVERY time.

Second visit and we were not disappointed. A small and authentic Italian with quality ingredients and a varied menu, the lobster linguine was fabulous. Friendly and attentive staff and reasonable prices. We'll be back!

I grew up in one of the smallest cities in this fair land, Ripon. It's a city because of it's fine cathedral rather than anything to do with size or in fact, culture - including good places to eat. There are few, but these are few and far between. Sorry, Ripon, you know you're dear to my heart.

Last week I decided to head back for the night, to the place which made me the pizza lover I am today. For the pizza which set my taste buds alight all those years ago.

It's called the diavolo. And these days I get it folded. And extra spicy. WIN.
