We are based in Newton Mearns in the southside of Glasgow and offer 1 to 1 Personal Training, 1 to 1 Pilates, Small Group Pilates Classes, TRX Suspension Training, Power Plate Training and Weight Management. Sessions and classes are taught online worldwide, plus home visits can be arranged for local clients.

Vital for our many clients in their 60s, 70s and 80s but we are seeing it more with younger clients now who spend their working life sitting in front of a computer, on a phone or tablet while commuting and in front of TV at home. Slouching, aching lower back, neck and shoulders are becoming the norm.

His aim is always to increase your fitness and whether that's helping you return to exercise after injury/illness, reduce stiffness and increase freedom of movement, lose weight or improve your sports performance, the goal is always to maximise results. He uses his skills to adapt your training in every session to not just offer variety but also react to your current energy and fitness levels.
Age is no Barrier - many of our clients are in their 70s and 80s (David's speciality) when moving better, improving balance and being stronger becomes vitally important. Medical Condition, Long Term Injury or General Aches and Pains - You'll benefit from our gentle exercise therapy and soon rediscover your freedom to move and improve your health.
Classes & 1-1 sessions are taught online. They're fully interactive, live classes with your instructor always watching to ensure good technique. The Pilates method of exercise is now a household name and still as popular and effective today as it was when first introduced by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.
There are many ways of burning calories and becoming fitter, stronger and more flexible, but TRX Suspension Training has to be one of the most versatile and enjoyable. See and feel a rapid transformation in body shape, cardio fitness and overall strength with TRX. No chance of boredom in these 30 minute sessions as you move constantly from one exercise to the next.

David's dedication to helping you reach your personal goals is amazing. His open, honest and friendly nature combined with his wealth of knowledge not only to increase your fitness and general health but to work with each client as an individual with their own personal needs means each session is enjoyable but fruitful too. Been working with Chris for about 6/7 weeks now. He took the time to understand my fitness goals and tailored a plan to suit. Really friendly and will take the time out to push me further. Overall, highly recommended, I was always nervous about getting a trainer, but Chris made it very easy and I’m glad I did.

Earlier in the year I had the great good fortune to hear about David from a friend at work. My personal circumstances had recently changed and we were discussing what I might do next. I decided I was going to concentrate on improving my overall fitness, so my friend recommended her personal trainer, David. I wasn’t sure; I thought I would feel too self-conscious and I was apprehensive. Aren’t personal trainers for sporty types? That’s definitely not me! And what would an introductory meeting be like?
Like most people I’ve joined various classes over the years, but never stuck with them

David and Caroline have a fantastic level of knowledge and experience in personal training. As a heathcare professional I am very careful about who I refer patients to, but I wouldnt hesitate to recomend Five Star Fitness.
