Services
Blue Star Asbestos Ltd are a Hampshire based asbestos consultancy working across the South of England and the Isle of Wight. We offer a complete range of asbestos services, providing all the information and guidance needed to locate and manage asbestos on your premises. Our consultants and asbestos surveyors are all fully qualified to British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) nationally recognised standards for working with asbestos.
Asbestos Management Surveys are used to locate the presence and extent of any Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) in a property which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy. The Management Survey forms the foundation of the asbestos register and is the basis for the continued management of any identified ACMs.
If you suspect you have asbestos on-site or in your home, we will attend to collect single or multiple samples which will be analysed in a UKAS accredited laboratory, an analysis certificate is then emailed to you (usually within 24 hours of sampling). This service is perfect if a full survey is not required.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that fire risk assessments are carried out on any non-domestic premises, including measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of fire, and identify persons at risk. As well as commercial properties, communal areas of residential buildings are also covered under the Order.

We used his expertise on a 3bedroom pre-purchase property. We had some issue on the time of the survey as our vendor couldn't be flexible since she had work on the day and has a dog at home who isn't very welcoming to strangers without any family members around. Also, as we were already delayed by our lender, we needed a surveyor who could give us an earlier date. Chris was kind and generous enough with his time to give us a quick date. He even moved one of his earlier appointments just so he could start and finish our survey on time for our vendor to return back to work.

Blue Star attended the property at the agreed time and carried out a very thorough inspection. Chris was a hugely knowledgeable and certainly expanded our understanding of asbestos and its uses. The survey report was sent to us very quickly (2 days after the survey), the report was easily understandable and gave us detailed recommendations on what to do. The survey enabled us to negotiate on the asking price of the house too so the survey actually ended up saving us money! I would thoroughly recommend any home buyer to commission an asbestos survey as not only will it give you details of any dangerous
