On behalf of the children, parents, staff and governors, we would like to welcome you to our school. Barlows Primary School is situated in the heart of Fazakerley in the city of Liverpool. The school has been at the centre of the local community for many years and we pride ourselves on firmly holding the pupils' best interests at the heart of everything we do.
As a school, we also benefit greatly from our partnership with the Fazakerley and Croxteth Children's Centre which is situated on the school site. Our aim is to provide high quality learning in an inclusive, nurturing environment for all our pupils. At the end of their learning journey with us, we want our pupils to be well rounded individuals who can thrive in the next stage of their education.

Here you will find general information about governing bodies and more specific information relating to our own school governing body. The governing body is responsible for ensuring that the school is run to promote pupils' achievement. The governing body meets as a whole group at least 3 times a year for a full governors meeting.
Joining the PTA is an excellent way to bring together parents, teachers and your local community to raise money and to support the school. It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal. All parents, teachers and school staff can get involved even if they only have a small amount of time available.
A school council is a group of students who are elected by their peers to represent the views of all pupils. At Barlows Primary School, the school council not only represent the pupils' views but also organise fund raising events for charities and projects within the school. We visit Liverpool Town Hall each term to take part in debates and contribute to city wide projects.
If your query relates to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) please contact our SENCO, Ms Clare Bakstad, or our Inclusion Manager, Mrs Rachel Daye, via the school contact details above. Each morning Teaching Assistants will be on duty at each of the entrances to pass on any day to day messages for teachers.
Service Pupil Premium funding is additional funding received by schools to help provide additional support for pupils who have one of their parents serving in the regular armed forces. The purpose of this funding is primarily to provide pastoral support for service children, whereas the Pupil Premium was introduced to raise attainment and accelerate progress within disadvantaged groups.
