I am an experienced and sympathetic teacher, happy to teach pupils of all ages. I particularly specialise in working with adults whether beginners, improvers or returners. Many of my pupils have been with me for a number of years. One of my former teenage students is currently studying Music at degree level having achieved a huge leap in ability from grade 3 to grade 6 practical and passing his grade 5 theory with just a year's study with me.
I also teach children from 10 years (sometimes younger if they have already been having lessons). All lessons are tailored to suit individual requirements and can be taken either for grades or leisure play. I will always try to accommodate specific musical tastes. I also teach theory to ABRSM grade 5, if required.

All lessons are tailored to fit individual requirements. I will always try to find music to use in lessons that's in keeping with the particular student's tastes, provided this also fulfils the teaching requirements. Most lessons are 1/2 hour (cost 15.00 at my home or, as can sometimes be arranged, 16 at a pupil's home, within a 10 mins drive).
