I have extensive experience in preparing individuals for piano examinations. 100% of my students who have taken a piano exam have passed, many receiving Merits or Distinctions. If you or your child would prefer to learn just for pleasure though, this of course is great too. As well as teaching lessons from home I also teach piano and theory of music at a primary school.

Services
I give piano lessons on a one-to-one basis from my home in Boughton, Chester, and also teach piano at a primary school. I adapt lessons to the needs and abilities of each individual and appreciate that every person has a different way of learning. I teach from a classical perspective, with an emphasis on reading and understanding different genres of music.
I have developed a Preschool Piano curriculum which consists of 10 x 45 minute sessions that introduce both the piano and theory of music to preschool aged children (3 & 4 years old) in a fun and relaxed group setting. The Preschool Piano course helps to equip children with the knowledge and confidence they need to begin their musical journey, as well as preparing them for individual piano lessons if they wish to pursue them later.
I can't articulate how delighted we are with Emily's attitude to piano now, and how much she is enjoying her lessons with you, it's so lovely to see.
