Will is an experienced music teacher based in Chester, specialising in Piano and Music Theory. He teaches piano in local schools and from his home studio in Huntington. Many students work through the ABRSM exam syllabus though some choose not to take the actual exams themselves, preferring to learn less formally. My current teaching fee is 31 per hour. The initial consultation lesson is chargeable at the standard rate but no further commitment is expected unless you decide to come regularly.
Services
During the current health crisis, I am providing online tuition via Zoom from my studio in Huntington. I will continue to provide tuition in this manner for the foreseeable future but intend to return to face to face lessons when it is safe to do so. The minimum age is normally about six or seven though this depends upon the child and their level of maturity.
Will was the resident accompanist for Chester Music Society Youth Choir for six years and regularly accompanies for examinations in and around the Chester area. Where extra rehearsal time/ travel time is needed, I may need to charge more based on my studio teaching rate. Besides teaching piano lessons in Chester, I am the Musical Director of the Caldy Valley Voices. I have worked with local community choirs since moving to Chester in 2004 both as accompanist and conductor supporting singers of all abilities. Neston Singers performed a variety of repertoire under my leadership from larger scale austere classical works to contemporary, a capella choral arrangements.
