Dinghy classes sail on the marine lake on weekday evenings, and may sail on either the lake or tide at the weekend. We have four classes which sail purely on the tide: Stars, Falcons and Hilbres which race mainly at weekends. Limbos are a class of small cruisers who have just set up at WKSC.A number of our members also have cruising yachts and motor launches which are moored out on the Dee Estuary.

WKSC has a thriving junior section and we are always pleased to welcome new junior members. They are the club's future and parents are encouraged to be involved in their children's sailing activities. We are an RYA Onboard hub and our aim is to promote sailing for young people whether they want to progress in competitive racing or would prefer to gain an RYA qualification and develop seamanship skills.
As a class we regularly travel, not only to the kindred club regattas but away weekends such as The Lake District Boat Club on Windermere. There are presently fleets at West Kirby and Fidlers Ferry Sailing Club. We are actively looking for new members to join the fleet and are looking into building new boats for the more enthusiastic sailors.
