Dee Sailing Club
Anyone who has a boat, or is considering getting a boat, will be warmly welcomed at the Club, whether you already know how to use it or not! We recognise that everyone has to start somewhere and may need some help along the way. Members are always willing to offer help and advice that will enable you to get on the water.

One to one training can be given on an informal basis to suit your needs (for dinghies and catamarans). Contact the training officer in the first instance to arrange for one to one training - let him know what boat you have or plan to sail, and what help you need, and he'll pair you up and get you going.
Services
The Dee Sailing Club is a family-friendly place and are always looking for new members to join the club. If you're interested in joining Dee Sailing Club, please use the online member application system below. If you would like to discuss your membership prior to applying please email our Membership Secretary.
The goal is fairly obvious. The clock starts when the helm steps into the water at the Dee SC and it runs until he steps onto the jetty at Beaumaris Pier. The challenge is to cope with whatever lies in between. Further attempts are planned for 2005. In the right conditions it will be possible to smash the catamaran records - when the bar gets below four hours, the race really will be on.
The fleet consists of boats ranging from 17ft to 35ft, although anything above 26ft is usually kept in marinas around the coast due to the limitations of space and depth of water in the Dee estuary. Our sailing area is mainly in the Dee estuary, with many two-tide sailings giving people the opportunity to sail all day.
The International Mirror Class Dinghy is one of the most versatile sailing dinghy ever produced. Designed to satisfy both the safety needs of families and the demands of the Junior club racer, it is an extraordinary international success, with over 70,000 Mirror Dinghies owned worldwide.

The Mirror has a well organised Class Association which promotes and administers Mirror dinghy sailing in the UK and represents UK Mirror sailors to other partner bodies such as the RYA (to whom we are affiliated), the International Mirror Class Association and through them the International Sailing Federation (ISAF).
The Dart 16 was designed in 1997 by Yves Loday, an Olympic gold medallist, who also designed the Spitfire, Shadow, and the F18 Hawk and VX40, which can also be found in Dee's Fast Cat fleet. It is easy to see the similarities between the Dart 16 and the Spitfire, yet the boats have totally different characteristics.

The club seem to have decided that no one should use the road up to the club and have put boulders to stop parking to look at the magnificent views. My wife and have parked here for 50 years and walked along the beach and now that we are no longer able to walk, my wife is disabled we are bared from sitting and enjoying the view. There is one disabled spot and two not labeled but these are always full. The coastline of Britain was supposed to be open to all to enjoy but not for for the disabled.

It's a private members club so though a yachtsman with sailing experiences from here to Hong Kong and many places inbetween, I couldn't go inside. However, I could park outside the gates and enjoy the view.

Located at the end of a long lane access us nevertheless easy to this club. Launching is down a steep slope on to the foreshore and long concrete slipway into a tidal and muddy estuary. For non-sailors there are pleasant views to enjoy and beautiful sunsets.
