Had a knee Arthroscopy today at Renacres hospital and have nothing but praise for all the staff who dealt with me today. Renacres Hospital is one of Lancashire's leading private hospitals, situated in quiet landscaped grounds in Halsall, near Ormskirk close to the M57, M58 and M6 motorways. The Hospital opened in 1987 and currently has 23 single rooms and one double room, all with en suite facilities. By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services.

We understand that face-to-face appointments may not always be convenient and that a video consultation from your choice of place may suit you better than attending the hospital. The Renacres Hospital is pleased to offer video consultations, in partnership with the Attend Anywhere video platform, to patients who have been identified by their consultant or nurse as someone who may be suitable for this type of appointment.

After having a Laminectomy here on 18th January 2021 I can honestly highly recommend coming here, Mr Buxton, all the wonderful nurses and staff really where fantastic, the Hospital is spotless too, big thanks to you all ❤️ Keep up the good work !!

I am a private paid patient and I wrote an email inquiry to their reception. Their receptionist Margaret Maggie Thurlow 1. relied saying won't be able to help, 2.did not answer any of my questions, 3.without even stating why she won't answer my questions at all! 4.She took one week to reply to me.
Their senior receptionist Janet Cochran lied in the earlier google maps reply saying there wasn’t a person named Maggie Thurlow, despite the evidence, and that’s just even worse than not replying. Cochrane/ Cochran? She wasn’t even bothered to type her own surname correctly?

This is an edit to a previous review and thanks to Clare and also consultant gynaecologist Mr Jones, I feel I can now rate this hospital as worthy of 5 stars.
Clare dealt extremely effectively, professionally and efficiently with a complaint I made regarding a previous consultation. Thanks to her I have had the very good fortune to be referred to Mr Jones whose manner, communication and care are excellent. Thank you so very much.
I have also attended the radiology unit who were nothing short of excellent.
Renacres, you should be very proud of Dr Chiphang (female) who could certainly teach some

I had a consultation 25th of November since then haven’t received any update I have subsequently left 5 voicemails 3 emails and haven’t had 1 response, I’m in paid and feel the hospital have neglected their responsibility of care

I saw Dr Buxton a couple of months ago as an NHS patient regarding my slipped discs. I found Dr Buxton to be cold & impertinent. Dr Buxton told me he “Wouldn’t stick a knife in my back until I was ready for a rope around my neck”, now if he had looked over my file or read the questionnaire I had brought with me as requested he would have seen I am… on medication for mental health issues, I suffer with severe depression, and that is not something I feel should ever be said to someone, let alone someone who suffers with mental health issues. I lost my beloved grandad

Thank you to all the staff for making my Hernia operation as comfortable as possible. I felt very safe with the strict Covid measures in place. All staff very friendly, helpful and professional. All stages of the procedure were clearly explained. The room I had was very clean and spacious and a very comfortable bed to recover on. Thank you to you all and Mr Khan for fixing my hernia problem. Just have to relax now and allow the healing process to take place.

Thank you to all the staff at Renacres, everyone I met was friendly helpful and professional. I had 2 private consultations with Dr Memon and a CT scan, and would like to say I found Dr Memon to be extremely knowledgable, approachable and efficient. He patiently listened to me and understood my concerns, suggesting appropriate imaging which was arranged quickly. The results were then explained in a reassuring and kind manner, helping to make a very worrying and stressful time that little bit easier. Thank you very much.

The staff at Renacres hospital treat you with the up most respect and make sure you understand everything.. My nurse Gary once i came out of theater, he had fantastic bed side manner and made sure that i was comfortable and had everything I needed as did all the other people who dealt with my stay.. Friendly and very professional nurses. The facilties was to high standard.. Thank you for everything.. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have been attending Renacres regularly since February 2019 as both an inpatient and an outpatient and both as a private patient and an Nhs patient.
The treatment I have received has, on the whole, been excellent and I feel I have the most caring, understanding consultant in Mr Simon Jones.
He treats me with compassion and respect and his ability to offer reassurance and put me at ease is fantastic.
Marion, his secretary, is always polite, courteous and helpful on the telephone.

Fantastic, attentive, courteous care for my Mother during her recent operation, subsequent days of respite and follow up physiotherapy. She could not fault them four years ago for a similar procedure and likewise thought the staff were wonderful this time round. Thank you Renacres.

Never had an appointment that's gone smooth, either they aren't expecting me, have put the wrong address on the letter (yet blamed me) or aren't sure who they're supposed to contact. Currently I've been waiting 1hr 20 minutes and counting for my appointment.
Nurses are good, doctors are straight to the point which is great

Shame on you Renacres. Very poor performance.
Today, we had an appointment to see a consultant at this hospital and were kept waiting with no explanation or reason for 50 minutes. Because of our work schedules, we had to abort the consultation and leave without being seen. The receptionist whilst trying to be helpful could offer no assistance we to how long the delay would continue for. Our experience of Renacres had up to today been positive however based on the service we received (or didn't receive), we would question what we are paying an insurance premium for. This is supposed to be private
