Services
Homelands offers full spectrum healthcare and nursing support for residents so that so they may maintain or recover optimal health and quality of life. We support individuals with continuing care requirements, providing a high quality, bespoke care service.
Our nurses and carers are trained to help manage residents with dementia, applying specialist techniques to help them minimise the impact of their symptoms but also seeing the person with dementia as an individual, rather than focusing on their illness or on abilities they may have lost.

From the outset, the resident is front and centre of our thinking and developing a personalised care plan that will enhance their quality of life is our top priority. We begin before the resident even arrives at our door, making sure we complete a comprehensive preassessment that involves a discussion with the resident themselves (if medically possible) about what their priorities are for their care.
You do not need to make an appointment to arrange a visit. We feel that you should be able to pop in at any time. If you wish to see the manager Frances, it is best to make an appointment to make sure she is available. There's a range of options available, you'll be able to discuss this with the manager Frances as it will be tailored to the needs of the resident.
As well as there always being a trained nurse on duty, we also have access to a doctor on call 24 hours a day to make sure our residents' medical needs are appropriately prioritised and catered for. We have both dentists and opticians who visit and can ensure optimum oral and visual health whilst a hairdresser and a chiropodist contribute to a resident's sense of normality and a preservation of their positive self-image.
