Beautiful welcoming home and gardens, not dis-similar to a 5star hotel. With inspirational, creative and compassionate care. Well done Birtley, the many years’ experience shines through in everything you do.

Such a beautiful house and grounds. Staff are wonderful, caring and professional. More like a 5 ⭐️ hotel than a nursing home.

This nursing home is not excellent and would not recommend it Do not put a family member in this home if they lack capacity or have any payment towards fees from Local Authority. The home should not care for patients with complex mental health needs and under the Mental Capacity Act . I give this home nil stars and the public should beware. My sister died of undiagnosed cancer in this home and was given physio therapy which caused severe pain to benefit fee earners.

Our family's experience of Birtley House was exemplary. They completely deserve their CQC Outstanding status.
Our father was in the care of the Birtley "family" for about a month to the end of his life. The home is family owned and run but Matron and her staff are like a family too. The kindness and care shown to our father was beyond compare. But this love and support extended to the whole of his family.
If you are looking for holistic care in a beautiful environment with excellent food - much of it from the estate - look no further.
Highly recommended.

I would like to thank all the staff at Birtley House, especially Andy, Tim & Karen for all their help. My mum fell over at a wood show on the grounds today and they went above and beyond to help us in every way possible. Thank you so much.

We had no qualms about choosing Birtley House as a Nursing Home for my Grandmother. We were particularly impressed by the staff and the high standards of accommodation. We would recommend highly.
