I have been a client for over 20 years and the health of my dogs have always been at the forefront of the care received. They have seen me through tough times with the utmost care and compassion. Wonderful staff, inviting building and most importantly, a strong sense that you are in the hands of true animal lovers. I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful practice.
Services
Bridge Vets is a RCVS Small Animal General Accredited Practice. Providing everything from routine preventative care such as vaccines and wormers, to complicated medical investigations and surgery - all tailored to your pet's individual needs. We continue to invest in top of the range surgical and diagnostic equipment to ensure we can offer your pets the investigation and treatment they need.
Offering a wide range of in-house blood analysers, we can provide accurate results in approximately 20 minutes. This enables our Vets to reach a diagnosis quickly and formulate a treatment plan for your pet. We have modern dental equipment, allowing us to undertake scaling, polishing and extractions.
Acupuncture has been used in China for a wide range of conditions for thousands of years. At Bridge Vets we practice a modern "Western" approach to veterinary acupuncture at our Nigg Kirk and Cults practices. As well as including traditional "meridian" acupuncture points, needles are placed at points based on scientific and physiological evidence and on physical findings in your pet.
If it's not possible for you to attend the practice but you need some advice or your pet is unwell, we can offer you a video consultation. We would always prefer to see you face to face, but understand this is not always possible in the current circumstances. Step 1: Phone us and advise the receptionist that you'd like to arrange a video consultation.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

My wife and I have recently decided to bring our gerbil Smokey to Bridge Vets after we found a small lump on his belly. After a couple of days of antibiotics, a scent gland tumour was diagnosed and Smokey was booked in for surgery. The vet removed the whole scent gland (which is the best option to make so lumps don't come back) and Smokey's now doing fine. The vet has done a great job considering we're talking of a very small pet, the stitch looked very precise and fully healed in 2-weeks time. The final fee for the operation was about £120, which seemed fair. Special thanks to vet Carol Adamson
