Welcome to Arvonia Vets, Your Friendly Independant Vets in Cheltenham and Churchdown. Here at Arvonia we pride ourselves in being the friendliest vets in Cheltenham and Churchdown. We are also independently owned and run so we control our own practices to provide the best possible care for your pets.
Consultations are by appointment in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. We have longer consulations as standard so that you do not have to rush your time with the vet. We also open the Cheltenham practice, in the Reddings, on Saturdays from 8:30 until 1 pm. You can book online quickly and easily.
At night, on Sundays and Bank holidays, when the surgeries are closed Woods Animal Hospital provides emergency veterinary cover for Arvonia Vets. Details can be found by calling our usual number. If you are registered at Cheltenham Vet Centre or Churchdown Vet Centre and you are concerned about your pet when we are closed, Woods Emergency Service will be at the end of the telephone.
We would like to express our good wishes to Guy in his retirement. After 40 years at Arvonia Guy has finally hung up his stethoscope to enjoy his retirement. Guy's interest in the practice was taken on by vet Darran Jennings, an old friend of Richard's. Guy will be missed by clients, their pets and the practice team.
In August we will be having a facility to book, amend and cancel appointments at the practice completely online. We hope it will save you time and effort in arranging to see us. In the mean time you can book an appointment by calling the practice during opening hours. Alternatively, you can request an appointment now by using the online appointment request form.

I took our new rescue cat for a check up and his first vaccinations today. I hadn't taken him to the vet before so wasn't sure how he would be. The vet was very kind and gentle when examining and vaccinating him. The lady on reception couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. Something that could have been stressful was a really good experience. They obviously really care about animals. Highly recommended.

I have been a customer of Arvonia Vets for over twenty years, and I would not consider going anywhere else. Richard, Guy and their team of nursing and support staff are remarkable. The professionalism and kindness shown during your visit are especially welcome if you are an anxious pet owner. Whether it is a routine consultation of a more urgent appointment, you are met with a smile and kindness. The staff are all "potty" about animals, and you know they will receive the best of care. Richard , guy and his friendly team are amazing , I have 3 dogs , Rottweiler , husky and a staffi, my dogs love the vets and staff there. Richard especially has a very kind nature and is always there for you whenever you need advice or you have questions . My husky had a nasty accident and the care and compassion he gave to us was out of this world, he always asks about him still now when I’m in with my other dogs too. If you want a good vets I highly recommend this one 100%.

Excellent vets who have a real knack for giving you options that are in the best interests of your pet. Friendly, caring and courteous. Always willing to help and try to make sure your appointment fits in around your schedule. They also do military discount, being close to HQ ARRC this will be of interest and benefit to many - don't forget to mention it!

Professional vets who treat their animals with the full care and attention when needed to. A lovely place to take your animals to, the place is calm and the staff are superb. Every animal is made to feel special; the receptionists come out from behind the desk to chat with you and fuss the animals. Even in the saddest of times (when my old dog had to be put to sleep) they cried with me and comforted me. It's like being part of a big family, and I would thoroughly recommend these vets to anyone.
