We are proud to provide this enhanced service, not only for our registered clients, but to any pet owner wanting to take advantage of this minimally invasive technique. Free veterinary nurse checkups for your pets At Dragon Vets, we offer nursing clinics by appointment throughout the day. Dragon Vets near Cheltenham Racecourse offers a modern, air conditioned & purpose-built vet surgery with unlimited parking.
Services
Dragon Vet Centre is situated at our purpose built premises on Prestbury Park, home of Cheltenham racecourse. We have unlimited free parking available and as we are situated on the same site as Cheltenham Racecourse, we are very accessible and extremely easy to find. Please ask one of our reception or nursing staff for more information on any of the above services or any other service you may require that is not mentioned above.
We are thrilled to welcome John's staff and clients to Dragon and look forward to meeting everyone over the coming months. We have completed the transition and all our vets have full access to your pets clinical records. Our phones have been diverted so you will be able to call us on either clinic number to make appointments or organize a phone consultation (if you are self-isolating).
Dragon Vets, Rissington offers a fully refurbished and equipped clinic with full diagnostic (blood/urine testing, XRAY, Ultrasound) and surgical capabilities. Whether your pet needs to see our team for simple health treatments such as vaccinations or flea/worming medication, or requires detailed investigations or an operation, our experienced veterinary team are able to offer these comprehensive services at an affordable rate.
Dragon Vets took over the running of Kingsway Veterinary Clinic during 2020, bringing our expertise and skills to Gloucester. We are now offering a full range of services (consultations, vaccinations, flea/worming treatments, neutering procedures), by appointment. Please call to book your friendly feline in!
Make sure you protect your pets and keep them safe by staying up to date with their vaccinations annually. Every year we see cases of potentially serious diseases, such as parvovirus, leptospirosis and kennel cough in dogs and feline leukaemia virus in cats that have not been vaccinated. Many of these cases are beyond treatment.

Out of hours service abominable. No care whatsoever and pushed and pushed for payment even when we did not have any at the time, whilst allowing our cat to be in pain. They did not bother with pain relief as he "felt she was neurologically damaged and wouldn't feel it". Can you believe that? Also LIED and said the manager was putting pressure on him to get some money and just brought a random figure up in his head. No compassion whatsoever when the cat was put to sleep, just said his goodbyes and left 'it's just one of those things' he said. If I hadn't been in real shock I don't know what I would

£282 for a 10 minute consultation and 3 injections for a rabbit (out of hours). Whilst I do recommend the vets, I have to give 3 stars due to the sheer cost. Whilst I know the initial cost was outlined in the first call, the vets know that in an emergency, one would do anything for their pet, which morally isn't right. 1 injection was priced at £18, the bottle of MetaCam I found online was £10 for an entire bottle. I also had the rabbits nails clipped a week earlier and spent £25 on this - so total for 1 rabbit in 1 week was over £300, a bit steep.

We recently had to rush our Labrador here as the Vets we use were closed. They were fantastic and very supportive. Very friendly and helpful.

I was staying at the racecourse on holiday, my dog needed to be seen quickly, although they are not my vets as I live 90 miles away, reception told me to come to the surgery straight away where we were seen within 10 minutes.
So a big thanks for you great service.

My silly cat got injured and Dragon Vets (Racecourse and Charlton Kings) could not have been more caring and accommodating. They saw him quickly, kept me updated with his progress and did a wonderful job at getting him sorted.
Fantastic and compassionate vets.

After the very frightening experience of my miniature dachund, Betsy suddenly being unable to use her back legs I have been so grateful for the absolute care and dedication of Ollie and the team at Dragon Vets. The skill of the operation and the aftercare has been second to none. I highly recommend them.

A professional and friendly clinic. Very courteous & knowledgable reception staff, cheerful nurses and great vets who take their time with your pet and don't rush you . Easy parking right outside (on the edge of the racecourse so room to exercise your dog if needed). Spacious reception area with enough roomto keep warring pets separated. Water bowl for pets, colouring & books for kids and newspapers for adults if you have to wait. Also useful folders on show with details of lots of local pet services, animals needing homing etc. Highly recommended.
