We are a large multicultural Junior Infant and Nursery School in the centre of Batley. At Park Road we work hard to provide a creative, enjoyable and rewarding learning experience for each child in an inclusive, secure and stimulating learning environment. We are proud of our school community and celebrate the rich and diverse backgrounds of all our pupils.

Services
Park Road School is a high-achieving school that is at the heart of the community. We work in partnership to provide a wealth of experience to develop the whole school. Our whole school community have a sense of belonging and take pride in the achievements of all. At Park Road School, we work together with parents and the community to provide a safe and happy learning environment to develop resilient, respectful learners.
The local offer provides information for children and young people with special educational needs (SEND) and their parents or carers in a single place. The local offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including education, health and social care.
During the academic year 2019/20 the Government gave every Primary School funding to develop Physical Education and competitive sport. Park Road School received 17710. Monies are used to bring PE and sports specialist teachers and coaches into work alongside class teachers and support staff in lessons.
School Councillors are elected by pupils in their class at the start of the year and every class has a School Councillor to represent their class. To become a School Council Representative, your class vote for who they feel will represent the class well. To become Head Boy or Head Girl you need to present to all of your peers in KS2 as to why you would like to carry out the role.
1876: Park Road School opened. It was built at a cost of 11,500 including all furnishings. There were 3 schools under the same roof with 3 different Headteachers; the infant school, and for children of 7 years and more the boy's school and the girl's school. 1930s: The Headteacher's House was taken into general school use and the caretakers house next to the front playground on Bradford Road ceased to be used.
