Canada Fields Caravan Park is near Northallerton in the Vale of York set between the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west and the North York Moors National Park to the east. We have 20 pitches with lovely views over the countryside on a landscaped area beside our family run farm. Our pitches all have hard standing with electric hookup and have water either directly adjacent or very close by.
Over the last year we have added many new features to the caravan park including a heated toilet block, dishwashing facilities and free WiFi. To one side of the site is our coarse fishing lake that adds to the picturesque setting and is an added attraction for those who enjoy this relaxing sport. Sorry we do not now accept tents.

Services
Each touring pitch on the caravan park is on hard standing, with an electric hook up and water at the pitch or very nearby. Free Wifi is provided on site. Our new wet-room shower block, opened in 2014, is finished to a high standard and we keep both wet-rooms well heated. All we ask is that you mop them out after use.
Northallerton, the County Town of North Yorkshire is located 3.5 miles to the east of Canada Fields Caravan Park. Markets are held on Wednesday and Saturday and the town has several supermarkets and many independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Cycle route 71 passes 1 mile from the site, one way heading towards Northallerton and the other towards Bedale.
From the A1 North, take the junction south of Scotch Corner to Catterick, in Catterick turn left at the traffic lights toward Scorton B6271, in Scorton turn right toward Northallerton onto the B6271 after 7 miles you will find us on the right hand side. If you enter the village of Yafforth you have gone too far.
The one we suggest here is for the recreational cyclists amongst us and is a distance of about 12 miles, starting directly from the park. There are two sections on busier roads, a short distance at the start and about a mile on the A684. You pass through six quiet villages and at least three pubs serving food, make it a Sunday and have a choice of roasts at them all.

Stayed in lodge which was fine, albeit a little basic when it comes to equipment though. Some saucepans need replaced too. Double bedroom needs a heater as was baltic! Rest of house cosy when the lounge heating was on. Great enclosed garden for dogs and a fantastic hot tub. Great dog exercise area too. Would go back, and just take my own equipment that was lacking.

Perfect, peaceful position.
Great little site between Morthallerton and Richmond. We were very fortunate to have a pitch with a view over the fishing lake. The owners were very polite and informative. Sadly due to covid 19 the shower block was closed but you could tell from the outside the owners have spent time and money on them and into making this site a welcoming little haven. Would highly recommend for a peaceful get away.

Thank you for another memorable time at Canada Fields. We've love it here. We've come for years. It's clean, tidy and there is so much space for the kids to run around and be safe. The owners are always… accommodating and friendly. It's defo a hidden gem with the added bonus of friendly animals. We are already planning our next visit.
