Being in the centre of the UK we are on the edge of The Dales and all local attractions - Golf & Racing in Ripon, Castles & Rivers in Knaresborough, fun rides at Lightwater Valley and only 40 minutes from the Ancient Cathedral City of York and The Viking Centre.Being 7 miles north of Harrogate and 4 miles south of Ripon on the A61 turn west into the village of Markington.
We are a small Park Home Estate situated on the outskirts of Ripon surrounded by fields, yet only half a mile from the town centre. Each Park Home has a reasonable sized garden and a parking area for one car. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. This Park has a full 12 Month 'Residential License' which means you can live there all year round, infact the park home is your main home/residence.
Markington is in the Heart of the UK with London only 230miles south and Edinburgh 230 miles north. The East Coast of Yorkshire (Scarborough & Whitby) only 1hr 45min and to the West Coast (Blackpool) only 1hr 45mins. Situated at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales, Midway between Ripon and Harrogate just one mile West Off the A61, turning off in the village of Wormald Green.
The Bar has original stone flag floors and beamed ceilings, when entering the property from the street, the door on the left was the 'Snug Room' today's equivalent of the Public Lounge, now private quarters. The Pool Room was not part of the pub but a private house including the little passage area from the bar room window to the door into the pool room, now known locally as 'The Punch & Judy' area, this was a 'Larder' in the house.

Great place to go. The Sunday lunch is really good and I would advise you book as it gets very busy. Prawn risotto is a good starter as is the scotch egg with black pudding

The food served in the restaurant was some of the best food I have tasted in my life!!
We stayed on the campsite and only intended to eat at the restaurant on the Friday night, but the food was that good we came back the Saturday night. Seriously... everyone should try it.
Not only is it the best food I have ever tasted, it is also the most reasonably priced.
Cannot recommend enough. We will definitely be returning.
I can't stop thinking about the food.
Amazing.
The Trio of pork was Divine!
