Services
Mount Preschool is situated in the hall at Mount Methodist Church on the corner of Moorlands Road. It is within walking distance of Salendine Nook shopping centre and is in close proximity of Moorlands Primary School. Children who attend Mount Preschool are welcomed into a warm, secure and friendly atmosphere, where they can develop equally in their early years.
As parents ourselves, we understand that it can be quite a worrying time for both you and your child starting preschool, and we hope to make it as easy as possible. For most children the first introductory visits will be sufficient and they will settle in quite quickly. However some children take a little longer and you are welcome to stay with your child until their confidence has grown and they are happy for you to leave.
All children attending Mount Preschool have a personal on-line Learning Journey which records photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, to build up a record of your child's experiences during their time with us. We use Tapestry, a system, which is hosted in the UK on secure servers.
As many of our activities are messy, and children love to participate in water play, sand, play-dough, painting and ourdoor play, many parents choose to purchase preschool uniform to avoid spoiling their own clothes. Uniforms are machine washable and come in a choice of four colours. Please ask for full details.

My son has just finished at Mount Pre-school, He started off at playgroup and then went into mount preschool. Right from the first day at playgroup all the staff were very friendly and made me feel at ease. They went out of their way to help me and always had time for me. They was amazing with my son, he loved all of people working there. I absolutely recommend this nursery. They made my son feel comfortable at nursery and he loved going.

Today our daughter left Mount Pre-school after 19months as she goes to school soon. During her time at Mount Pre-school she has come on leaps & bounds with her friendships, communication & learning such as… letters & numbers. The staff are really friendly & listen to parents ideas & work with parents to get the best out of the child. We would definitely send our son here when he starts 3-4year funding.
