I'm enjoying my stay here so far. The holiday houses are well kept, and the views are amazing. The beds are also very nice, and the chairs are comfy. Overall I'd say that if you are going to the Lake District, I would highly reccomend staying here as it is a very nice place to stay, and has very good views.

Excellent place to stay if you like peace and quiet and great views, dog friendly with a large field for them to run around in, really nice interiors that completely relax you, however if you don't like your car getting dusty then it is a fairly long dusty drive upto the Cottages for me the place more than makes up for it.
One small complaint is that my mattress could have done with replacing, I felt like I was going to roll out in the middle of the night apart from that my room was lovely.
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did.

A fantastic family week at Near Howe , cottages are beautiful , well equipped , Fiona and Mark our hosts were very friendly and helpful. and the welcome bottle of red went down a treat ! .
would love to come back again , only a short foot (ish) path down to the village pub (20 mins leg stretch, to avoid the country road ) , serves good home cooked meals . lots of farm animals about in the fields to watch especially the crayzee jumping lambs . the Heron down the burn too . fantastic mountain views too.
