
Princes Primary caters for children with severe learning difficulties from the ages of four to eleven. Our aim is to provide exciting opportunities for children to learn in a safe and happy school setting. We offer a personalised curriculum in a caring, stimulating and challenging environment, encouraging independence and the skills needed for daily life.

Services
Princes School aims to promote positive relationships, trust and co-operation to secure an enjoyable learning environment where expectations are clear and behaviour management is approached in a positive way. Offer a differentiated approach which addresses individual needs through exciting and stimulating curriculum activities.
Please inform the class teacher in writing if your child is to be absent from school - this includes hospital/dental appointments. Absences due to illness MUST be telephoned to the school office as soon as possible after 9am. If you are planning a holiday during term time please pick up a holiday request form from the office or download a copy below.
Over half of our children have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder in addition to their complex learning difficulties. Every three years we have a review by the National Autistic Society who quality assure our practice. The award celebrates and supports the continuous improvement in literacy and numeracy throughout the school.
Our curriculum at Princes reflects the individual needs of each child. Alongside our specific National Curriculum subjects; we acknowledge the importance of wellbeing, sensory integration, play, independent living skills and communication and language as priority areas. All children have targets based on their EHCP outcomes and personal goals and aspirations.
