No two exams are the same, and each is tailored to your needs, so you may find different tests are carried out at each visit, and two members of the same family may need quite different visits. But some common features exist in all exams.
We will ask a series of questions about why you have come to see us, about symptoms and about your medical history - if you take any medications, always try to bring a list of what you are taking with you (or bring the packets with you).We will like to know of your work conditions, whether you use a computer and at what distance you work.

Whereas conventional optometry concentrates on correcting visual errors (often concentrating just on refractive error or sight defects alone) and checking on eye health, the behavioural optometrist goes well beyond this to consider how vision has developed, whether there are problems with the developmental process, and how this is impacting on what is being asked of the system - and what may be asked of it in the future.
Contact lenses are small, transparent eye- shaped lenses which float in the tear film on top of the cornea, tucking under the eyelids when we blink. There are two main types of contact lenses: 'rigid' lenses are made of more 'gas permeable' materials, and 'soft' lenses which can best be described as being made of a jelly- like material.
Keith Holland Opticians are working with The Hearing Care Partnership to offer high quality hearing care services to the Cheltenham area. Our expert audiologist will be working from within our practice to offer a complete range of hearing services including complimentary hearing tests, digital hearing aids, ear wax removal, tinnitus consultations and hearing protection.
Ortho-K is a new way to control short-sightedness and we are one of the only opticians in Gloucestershire to offer this treatment. These are specially shaped contact lenses which gently flatten the cornea so that the light focuses correctly on the back of the retina. Due to the fact that the cornea is elastic, it will retain the corrected shape for at least 36 hours.

Fortunately we meet the team of Keith Holland who are very professional and diagnosed it is because of Convergency Insufficiency. And provided effective way Vision Therapy, which is very helpful. Afyer weeks, his problem is being improved a lot.
And the environment is very relaxing and friendly, beautiful and efficiently. As a foreigner, they are very kind to explain the problem and makes me relaxed and helped to find solutions. The kind stuff are like friends. Really a good

My kids and myself have been patients at Keith Holland for years. We have seen them go from strength to strength, with excellent customer service and atmosphere. My kids both use Ortho K lens instead of traditional glasses and contacts. They are game changers. I’m so glad they were suggested to us. The Ortho K are worn at night to reshape the surface of the eye, and during the day they have perfect vision without having to rely on anything else! It’s been amazing for sports, especially swimming. I wish the Ortho K had been around when I was growing up. I tell all my friends to go see Keith

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, best opticians ever! I’m a lifelong glasses wearer but have never before received service like I do at Keith Holland. I recently had to accept that it was time for varifocals but they made the process painless with an extremely thorough eye test, and explanation of how the lenses would work. Then, instead of making me feel special for wanting quirky frames, they encouraged me to go all out! Excellent service. The team are highly skilled and caring. The whole experience did not feel rushed at all. They also have a variety of spectacle frames and lenses I’ve not seen before. I’ve tried to new Tokai 1.76 lenses which are the thinnest plastic lenses in the world; great quality with no annoying reflections and opened up the number of spectacle frames I can choose.

A very professional unit with a very dedicated team who do everything possible, going the extra mile to assess, reassure and to test results; to make sure the patient receives the very best care.. My 4 year old has been several times now to Keith Holland for glasses and sunglasses. Sid, Dermot and the team are excellent with children; patient, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. After a terrible experience with a high street optician we were delighted to have found Keith Holland! Highly recommended for their fab communication, extensive range of children's frames and friendly staff.
