We are committed to ensure each child receives the best possible care and education and achieves their full potential. The success of each child's education is important to us whatever their ability. We are a busy, friendly and welcoming school and we actively encourage the involvement of parents, carers and members of our community in all aspects of our school life.

We are continually looking for ways to improve and develop what we do, in order to make our school the best it possibly can be for our children. Our curriculum is broad, balanced and exciting; it is filled with practical experiences to engage and motivate the children to always want to learn more. We aim to foster a 'thirst for learning' culture.

At North Walkden we shape our history curriculum to ensure it is fully inclusive to every child. Our aims are to fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum for History; providing a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum that encompasses the British Values throughout; ensuring the progressive development of historical concepts, knowledge and skills; and for the children to study life in the past.
My name is Mrs Conaghan and I am the nursery teacher, our teaching assistant's are Miss Ward and Miss McCrae. We are here to help you and your child with any support or concerns you may have about school. Please come to us with regards to anything, if we can help you we will!. We will regularly be updating our page to include lots of lovely things that your children have been doing in class.
Our class page is a fantastic way to share our learning experiences with you and celebrate our achievements along the way. Please ensure you take a look at this half term's newsletter, where you can find out about: specific subject content, important diary dates for this half term and general classroom reminders.

Each year, we teachers start out so hopeful and excited to begin the new journey with your child. We come in with hopes and dreams of what the year will be like - and all of those visions include good things for your child. Whilst we are willing to put in the effort, the hours, the creativity, the enthusiasm - having your support results in your child's overall success!

I use to go to this school from nurshary-year 6 and if I didn't even here of that school I wouldn't be the Pearson I where today. I hope I can come back.
