C&A Supply Co. (formerly C&A Sewing Machine Co.) was first established in 1948 and incorporated in 1961. We have been supplying brother sewing machines since the early 1970s. The business was founded by 2 pre-war friends, Ron Crawley & Tom Adams (hence the C&A). Runited after hostilities ceased, they began to supply sewing machine parts and accessories to the sewing trade, eventually leading to the supply of the machines themselves.
Originally based in Islington, London, C&A had a 25-year stint in Clapham, South London before taking the decision to move out to its current home in Cranleigh, Surrey in 2008. C&A first embraced the digital age with the launch of the original version of this website in 2005 and the company is now run by 2nd & 3rd generation descendants of the 2 founders.

I bought a number of presser feet & a darning plate (said to be universal, but didn't fit my machine). I emailed, got a swift reply & assurance that a replacement darning plate would be posted FOC. Sure enough a few days later the correct plate arrived. It's unusual to receive such good service these days. Highly recommend this company.

I would like to say a special thank you to the team for their service and constant communication with me throughout the ordering process. I have had a very unfortunate experience with another company with an online order which failed from the beginning, and could have been so easily restored with adequate communication.
Your service has helped to restore my confidence in online ordering, and to be fair to all the other companies I've used, that one company has been the only problematic one in this whole lockdown period.

We went to see C & A today, with the intention of trying out, comparing and purchasing a high end Brother sewing machine. However, we were greeted by an ill-informed, 'too busy on a Monday' employee, who had no knowledge of the, very few, machines on display. We were told to ring ahead next time and come midweek. Sorry sunshine, you failed the attitude test. We will not be coming back. This is not a shop, or a showroom, just a warehouse. Wonderful website, poor customer service. Treated us as a nuisance.

The service I received from this company has been truly excellent. They responded to my original question to them advising me of what part I needed and then went a step further by commenting on another item I had ordered by explaining it probably wasn't ideal for my machine and offered to amend my order for me to ensure I received what I needed.I was really grateful for their help, advice and for providing details of my order progress and potential delivery. Their communications to me have been helpful, profesional and very supportive. So unusual to find a company who are prepared to take the time

Really impressed and pleased - I sent a query about an older range Brother sewing machine for which I'd mislaid the instruction manual, and I was having problems finding a download which didn't "hijack" my google chrome. I was really swiftly sent a PDF of the manual, and I couldn't be more grateful. Many, many thanks :)

When my sewing class project required me to obtain two new types of sewing machine feet, I was recommended to contact C&A. The gentleman I spoke to was very patient and helpful in confirming what I needed for my model of machine. The items (genuine Brother) were in stock and were dispatched by first class post the same day, meaning they arrived the following morning. I was extremely happy with this level of service and will happily purchase from them again.

My wife needed a replacement foot very quickly for her Brother PS-31, the original finally being too worn after a large amount of canvas sewing. I tried to order the replacement on-.lineand the website located it quickly and assembled the order, but for some reason the payment system crashed on me - I have had the same problem on other websites, it was not the brothermachines website. I therefore called very late in the day yesterday, just before the arrival of the postman apparently. Mirabile dictu, the missing part arrived in the post this morning - a great tribute not only to C & A, but to Royal
