To The Grove Riding School and Livery Yard, located between Marlow and High Wycombe, Bucks. We are a Riding School (Licence No WDC 034) and Livery Stables situated in the beautiful Bucks countryside with access to superb off-road private hacking on the historic West Wycombe estate. We have an indoor and an outdoor arena both with brand new Equi-ride surface and a wide variety of XC schooling fences.
As an older person, I felt a 'now or never' urge to get back in the saddle after a gap of 25 years! The staff have been most welcoming and accommodating, the horses are wonderful and the yard is just a really special place. I LOVE my weekly 'equine therapy'. So picture this.blue sky, warm sunshine, rolling countryside, larks singing, fresh air in your lungs.

Services
The Grove Riding School has been run by Julie and David Bond since 2010, but there has been a riding school here for over 30 years and before that a dairy farm. The school was originally set up by Maddie McKenzie Wallace who was also a founder member of High Wycombe Riding Club and a big supporter of Riding for the Disabled.
The Grove Riding School is an approved member of the British Association of Riding Schools. As an 'approved school' we have been inspected and found to be satisfactory by one of the national Approved Schemes. The Association of British Riding Schools conducts such a scheme, setting a high standard for horse care and requires to be satisfied that the instruction given is well presented and correct in content.
For the very young we offer Tots Trots - a trip through fields and woods for 15 minutes on a pony with leaders and parents. This is the first stage of learning to ride, we like to take our time over this one to make sure all the basic skills are in place before you move on but it should still be fun!
At Grove we run regular day courses during the school holidays, along with camps during the summer and a range of evening events throughout the year. Our day courses run from 9:30 to 12:00. All you need to do is to arrive in your riding clothes with a packed lunch and, depending on the time of year, some sunscreen or a warm dry coat!

Had my first lesson here today and loved it! As a ‘returner’ I am rather rusty, but I felt comfortable and encouraged which was lovely. Medlar was a proper gentleman - beautifully responsive when I got things right and patient when my requests were somewhat clumsy! Great first experience and I hope to be back very soon!

After 15 years I decided to get back in the saddle and I absolutely love it I ride frank every week and I get taught by Kerry who is absolutely lovely, I was really nervous about getting back into it and asked… to start from scratch and they have been so accommodating for me. I would highly recommend the grove.
My daughter also has been having riding lessons for nearly a year now and she absolutely loves it she can’t wait for Sunday’s to come around each week! She is taught by molly but all the girls there are absolutely lovely and polite.
