Greysteads is a small family run hotel, ideally situated within easy reach of Carlisle City centre. Less than 5 minutes by car, about 15 minutes walk and with several bus routes to the centre Greysteads is convenient for all guests. All bedrooms are comfortable with pleasant outlook offer hot/cold water, shaving sockets, heating, tea/coffee facilities and colour TV.

Carlisle is a historic city complete with Castle, Roman Wall nearby, Race Course and easy access to the Lake District and Scotland.

Greysteads do an excellent funeral tea. The choice of sandwiches, cakes etc are very good, and even the cups of tea or coffee are served and topped up without having to sit and wait. However the sausage rolls are the best you will get anywhere.

Lovely 'old fashioned tradition' hotel with great staff. Very relaxing and cheap rates.
This place is well known for its (funeral) teas and tradition food. Lovely homely feel.

Greysteads provided the facilities & refreshments following a service at the near-by Carlisle Crematorium. Ideal location and the refreshments were more than sufficient. Plenty of parking available too.

A pretty house with good bones. Stonking sized rooms. Attractive decor and some antique furnishing which will see off the plastic wrapped in the modern home all adding to the mystique of the place. Conventional event rooms. Very efficient central heating. Scrupulously clean everywhere and most obliging proprietor and staff make any visit highly satisfactory.
