The firm has its roots in the long established Art & Antiques division of Bruton Knowles. Since 1862 Bruton Knowles, with its headquarters in Gloucestershire, has been the Cotswolds' largest and one of the most important provincial firms in the country. Through their years of work with private clients they are also one of the oldest firms of chartered surveyors and property consultants in existence.
Chorley's offer verbal valuations of items for possible inclusion in our sales, either by appointment at our saleroom, visit to your house, or through e-mailed images. There is no charge for this service. Per lot sold: 15% of the hammer price up to 5,000, then a further 10% on the balance of the hammer price above 5,000.
Absentee payments by credit/debit card will not be accepted over the telephone but must be made through the secure payment facility below. Please ensure you have verified the invoice with Chorley's before using this service. Cheques and banker's drafts are not be accepted unless agreed in advance with a Director of Chorley's.
