Banks Bar Bistro is a privately owned restaurant situated in a delightful Grade II Listed building in the heart of the Saxon town of Bishops Waltham, Hampshire. Chef-Patron, Peter Hayes, and Chef, Chris Weller have worked at some of the finest establishments and now draw on this experience to create modern British cuisine with Continental influences.

A surprising find. Good service and the food good. Our daughters birthday who is gluten intolerant but plenty of choice. Unusually for me they didn't have any pudding I fancied. My seat was not too comfortable as could feel the wooden frame through the covering. Should have asked to change it. Will be happy to go again.

Hi everyone, compliments to the Chef, every dish was of a high standard, and delicious even the vegetables. Very Good menu, catering to most tastes, and varied. The waitress service was excellent, with very Good customer service, asking for our feed back on every course. The price of meal was relative to the service, and food, and about right. Very enjoyable evening, we will be back🙂

Love this place. Late birthday celebration with great friends. We all had the double baked cheese souffle for starters and I followed up with the venison washed down with the house white, Turning Heads, NZ. Always choose this here but disappointed not to find it anywhere other than here. Believe me I've tried! Wonderful staff that we have got to know well. Sorry I can't spell your name, M but thank you for looking after us all so well. And big thanks to the chef. How do you make so many delicious and diverse dishes relatively speedily? And not to forget the piano playing - taped - in the background
