Here at St. Michael in the Hamlet, we put our pupils at the centre of what we do. We are a happy and supportive team who work together to provide the best possible experience for our children. We are committed to providing inclusive, inspirational and innovative teaching, delivering a rich and broad-based curriculum that motivates our children to love learning and enables them to adapt and flourish both inside and outside the classroom.
St. Michael in the Hamlet Primary School is a Rights Respecting School. At St Michael in the Hamlet Primary School we are committed to ensuring that we promote equality for all members of our school community: children, staff, parents and visitors. We aim to do this through the use of our resources; our school policies and how we deliver our curriculum.
Being in school every day is the key to successful learning. It is also helps your child establish friendships and feel included in their class 'team', and not feel like they are missing out. I am the Attendance Lead for St Michael's. Please email me (g.larsen@smhsch.co.uk) or call the school office to speak to me if you have any attendance worries.
We have a pond, mature trees and plenty of nooks and crannies waiting to be discovered and investigated. Classes are able to access this area throughout the year to enhance their learning and see for themselves the changes that happen as the seasons roll over. Thank you to our school community for this generous expression of their love and respect for Barry.
We are very fortunate at SMH to have a lovely large outdoor area known as Barry's Back Garden. Every year group will, at some point in the academic year, have some outdoor learning experience. Often these are an enhancement to a particular curriculum subject, or a practical experience that compliment or expands a topic in class.

As a Governing Body we feel compelled to refute the claims made in the review posted by Youcef El-bouhairi and express our total trust and confidence in the Headteacher, the staff and the members of the Governing Body referred to in this posting.
As you are all aware, the staff and governors work extremely hard to create a thriving learning environment for our children and they do so by working to the highest professional standards which, in the case of governors, is in a voluntary capacity.
This contribution is reflected in our excellent standards of achievement, recognised by Ofsted in our
