Services
Self catering spacious Victorian Farmhouse refurbished to 4 star standard with excellent views across the meadow and trout lake. Complete with everything you will need for a relaxing holiday - including two wood burners for those cosy nights in front of a real fire, and a more recent addition of its own outdoor Spa.
With four Canadian canoes, and two people in each boat we get to play some games and and learn some new skills. Lots of fun and perfect for groups and breaking the ice. The archery Instructor will set up the range in front of the main house and create some exciting and fun challenges. We also have a group shelter available here and a fire basket if your wanting to do this in the colder months.
Along with our lovely 4 star accommodation, games barn and health suite we're also well placed for you to try sea fishing off the North Devon coast and fly fishing on Exmoor. Relax at our two private well stocked fishing lakes, both established since 1982. The Stillwater Coarse lake is just under an acre and is a very quiet, surrounded by woodland and a stream and has a lakeside grass roofed shelter.
Holistic Massage and Yoga are available on-site and can be booked at a time that fits in with your plans. Why not treat yourself to a relaxing evening after a busy day? Chavutti is a full body oil massage, differing from most other types of massage in that the practitioner uses her feet for the main part of the treatment.

We have stayed in Grooms Cottage and Barton Lodge and both were just amazing. We were a gang of 9 family and friends and the cottages and location were perfect for all ages from baby to Grandparent. There is a sauna and jacuzzi and a games room where many hours were spent with the inter-family table tennis championships!
For the children there is a climbing frame fort and a trampoline. There are little animals to amuse and collect eggs from. There are bar be ques and fire pits to sit around in the evening. There are 2 lakes, one for fishing and the other to canoe on and play on. And the views

As soon as we arrived we were greated by the owners and shown around the house. Cream tea on arrival just starts you off in the holiday mode. Everything was great apart from the weather at times, that aside we had a lovely time and would recommend this location. We were a party of 8, 2 families who just enjoyed every minute, not too far to get to the beach and plenty to do locally. The woods are great for walking and we also took the dog, he loved it.
Overall, a fantastic time was had by all and we would love to return next year, or maybe around Christmas if we can get away.
