I hope that you find this website useful and that it gives you an insight into what makes our school special. At our school staff and governors work hard with families to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to grow to their full academic, personal and spiritual potential. This is achieved through a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum.

Our strong partnership with the Parish puts us at the heart of the Catholic community which we serve. The quality of teaching over time is strong and pupils are learning well. Pupil's at St Joseph the Worker develop as confident, polite citizens who feel good about themselves and their education. Everyone in school will strive to; Be friendly.
Services
Here at St Joseph's we have carefully picked topics from the National Curriculum to help develop the children's knowledge and get them excited about delving back into the history of our wonderful local area, country and world. We especially enjoy delving into the human side of history, learning from our family members and being open to learning the lessons that past generations have made sacrifices for.
Everyone in school will strive to; Be friendly. Be honest. Respect self and others. Take responsibility for his/her actions. Through these values we expect to have a safe and happy school in which all children can learn and achieve their potential. To create a happy Roman Catholic atmosphere in which everyone can develop spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, morally and physically.
I have uploaded lots of useful links for parents to follow. I upload my planning weekly that has resources and links attached, please use at your discretion and don't feel pressured to stick to it. Do what suits you and your family situation at this difficult time. Currently we would be covering Traditional Tales in English, Weight and Mass in Maths and focusing on set 3 sounds in Phonics.
Mrs Dunn (Monday - Wednesday) and Mrs Willis (Thursday and Friday) class share the class and work very closely together with Miss Morse. Where possible, we make links between different areas of the curriculum in order to make our learning more fun and purposeful. This half term we are looking at Africa and linking this to Art, Geography, RE, Music and English!
I am looking forward to teaching you all and finding out all about you. Things will be a little different when you come back to school in September. As long as we all follow the rules, we will be able to keep safe and enjoy learning again. As you all know you will be doing your school work from home for the time being.
