Riverside Health which serves the North Nottinghamshire market-town of Retford as well as its surrounding villages. Riverside work from 4 sites, Riverside Health Centre at Retford, Riverside Harworth at Harworth Primary Care Centre, Riverside Misterton and Riverside Gringley. Gringley surgery has a Dispensary.
There has been a lot of media attention on the Meningitis B vaccine recently and we know that many parents wish to have their children to be vaccinated against Meningitis B. We wish to reassure patients that there is sufficient vaccine availability for this programme. At this time the NHS does not have a programme in place for older children.
Dr. Ho joined the practice 12 years ago. He offers a full general practice service and has developed a specialist interest in Coronary Heart Disease and ENT. He also works alongside other colleagues as a GPSI in palliative care in Bassetlaw Hospice. He is also Chair of Bassetlaw CCG. She is the clinical lead for learning disabilities and she is currently involved in writing revision guides for GP Trainees to help them pass their clinical exams.
Riverside Health Partnership is proud to present, the Bassetlaw Health Bus. This is a new addition to our services to provide the best care we can possibly give. We are excited for the future and to begin using this to provide care where we might not have been able to before. Jim is responsible for the preparation, cleanliness and delivery of the Health Bus, including the serviceability off all facilities available on the vehicle.
All information at the Riverside Health Centre is held, retained and destroyed in accordance with NHS guidelines and under the data protection act 1998. If you require any further information of who has access to your patient information please contact the Data Quality & Governance Manager. From time to time patient records may be reviewed by a healthcare professional who is not an individuals own GP for the purposes of clinical audit.

In this time of endless calls to the surgery and lengthy waits I would like to say a personal thank you. I was very poorly on Friday 5th November this year and unable to call the surgery in the morning due to a commitment to take a relative to hospital. When I did ring I was 21st in the queue and only hung on because I had to. Over 45 minutes later I was very lucky to speak to Lynda who listened so carefully to my emergency and waved her wand. Thank you again Lynda for your help when I really needed it.

Impossible tp get thro sometimes. Hour long queue and you gwt cut off

two years where yoy cant get thro. Where your call is dropped. When i rang again i got to number 1 in queue, call dropped. Covid didnt help but -
Not to mention impossible to get appointment. Ring every day whike having a crisis? Ridiculous.
Plus rude patronising locom
A year of rash and face swelling before referral to allergy expert
Worse surgery ive belonged to in 30 years...

This health facility is getting worse, one hand seems not know what the other is doing, both receptionists, and in one instance a locum left me with uncertainty as to any confidence.
With regard to the question of booking an appointment it is appaling and is not a recent problem despite what we are told, in my case it is time to think of seeking an alternative practice.

The requirement to spend more than an hour in a telephone queue to speak to a receptionist is absurd. Why is there not an answerphone call back facility to stop these ridiculous long queues and reduce everybodies stress levels. When will this inadequate service be rectified? I note on a previous reply the practice suggested calling the office manager to discuss the above same issue. Please give me an alternative response. Your frustrated and sressed patient.

Good doctors let down by terrible management. Understaffed ( you are 26th in queue) which when waiting on the phone went down to 6th then i got cut off and back to 17th in queue. Worst service i have used. My old doctors called me up for 6 monthly routine thyroid tests, sent me texts reminders for appointments and allowed me 2 months routine prescriptions. This 'service' when you can actually speak to someone, is nothing like so helpful and doesn't know about continuity of care. Use another practice!

No comments. Absolutely a joke. Booked appointment for my child, went on time and they refused to see by saying oh we put wrong time and practitioner has finished her day. Is this my fault that you clocked wrong time on your system and communicated wrong time to me over the phone and put my ailing child at risk? I don't have words anymore, sad

Absolutely brilliant service AS ALWAYS! I have never experienced such wonderful support from a doctor and of course the fabulous reception staff!! I do not have a bad word to say about Riverside Health Centre! I forgot to mention the nursing staff who, again, are always wearing a welcoming smile to put you at ease. It is so reassuring to know I have such good support from my family doctor and staff. THANK YOU.
