Services
We undertake grit blasting of metal components up to almost any size using Olivine, a naturally occurring silica free expendable material. Grit blasting, a mild abrasive is suited to the removal of surface contaminants, light rust, edge burrs and coatings from most metals including aluminium, cast iron and mild steel.
We operate a walk in recirculating shot blast room using chilled iron grit suited for items upto 3m x 3m x 2.8m. Chilled iron grit tends to remove paint and contaminants quicker than grit blasting but leaves a harsher key and is not suitable for aluminium or softer metals. Chilled iron grit is also not suited to corrosion sensitive items such as engine parts or stainless steel because of its ferrous content.
We offer a standard epoxy polyester powder coating service with or without a zinc rich primer for items up to 3.7m x 2.7m x 2.7m. Epoxy polyester powder coating is good for most applications including indoor environments such as industrial units were oils and aggressive chemicals might be present or for balustrading and other indoor architectural applications as well as for use outdoors.
Industrial paint spraying includes air drying systems and stove enamelling for items up to almost any size. Specialist system are available such as high temperature and chemical resistant coatings. For general applications we offer an air dry single pack, Cromadex 222, a fast air drying Alkyd. Air dry single pack systems can be applied over bare metal or where required over a primer.
We offer specialist flooring services for items such as gantry lifts, cherry picking baskets and industrial platforms where a combination of durable non-slip surfacing and/or noise deadening is required. In particular we offer Flowcrete, a wet pour 2 pack epoxy liquid coating as well as Polydeck, a pre-formed composite board that is screwed in place.
