Fatboy Motorcycle Training is delighted to be affiliated with the Crescent Group supplying Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki motorcycles. This has enabled us to establish a close working relationship with a high quality local dealership that offers a full range of up to date motorcycles, which allows our clients to train upon motorcycles of the highest standard.
We offer a variety of Training Courses from CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) to full DAS (Direct Access Scheme) and many other riding skills courses in-between. Staffed by true enthusiastic motorcycle riders who have a passion for riding, Fatboy Motorcycle Training offers years of riding experience in order to keep you safe and able ride to the best of your abilities.
A 1:1 bespoke motorbike training session with Fatboy MCT will provide the advice and experience you need to help you on your way to being a better rider. You get to choose the areas where you would like to improve and in conjunction with your instructor, you can identify, practice and rectify, offering you a safe environment and opportunity to rehearse and become confident where previously you may have been intimidated.
Most learner motorcycle and moped riders must pass compulsory basic training (CBT). You then have to pass your full motorcycle test within 2 years or you'll have to take CBT again. It can be completed on an automatic scooter or manual motorcycle. Students are required to be on site 30 minuets prior to their booked start time.
Your riding experience and whether you have a current CBT (compulsory basic training), will determine the course length that we recommend for you. Please call the number above to discuss your individual requirements. A2 is a restricted licence for 19 year old +. This permits you to ride a motorcycle without Learner Plates, go on motorways and carry a pillion, but only on a motorcycle up to a maximum of 35Kw.

I had a continuation of my CBT here today, would highly recommend this company my instructor Angie was brilliant I was nervous and she was so patient and understanding a real mummy bear even came in on her day off for me because I had asked for her, she did demonstrations first, walked me up to a roundabout I was intimidated by to talk me through it, even bought me a coffee, I couldn't have asked for more, made what can be a very nerve-wracking thing for me an enjoyable experience with the bonus of getting my certificate at the end

Fatboy MCT were superb from start to finish. I did a CBT with Rachel who helped building my confidence early on.
I then had Steve for my DAS course, who was patient, friendly and made the whole thing really enjoyable.
Catherine on the admin team also really helped getting bookings sorted at a time when it was quite difficult due to the Covid backlog.
I'd recommend Fatboy to anyone - the whole team are great, and deserve their good reputation. You always feel that they just want you to be safe - there's no bravado, just calm, clear instruction and and a good atmosphere. Thanks!

Absolutely brilliant service. I’ve done lots of cbt’s throughout the years and this way by far the most comprehensive and professional service I’ve ever received. Big shout out to Angie who made me feel at ease and talked me through the whole process. Can’t recommend these guys highly enough. Seriously just book them 😂

Absolutely amazing motorbike school. I had a nightmare with a previous school, and just didn’t feel confident to pass my mod2 test. However the staff at Fatboy motorcycle training swiftly corrected my mistakes, and filled me with confidence to pass my mod2 in no time. Can’t recommend these guys enough

We had a brilliant morning with an excellent instructor, the delightful Angie. She is friendly and informative in a way it all sinks in easily. Lovely drive and lunch break in The rolling Scones Cafe. Also customer service was excellent with Catherine booking was very easy. Will be recommending in the highest praise and back in 2 yrs time. xx

Done a CBT with them recently didn’t pass unfortunately, unhappy at the fact my training was stopped at 12pm, yet I paid £130 for 8-3pm, not an issue about not going out on the road as I know they have no choice for this matter but to cut it off at 12pm then not give me extra training on the parts I need I thought was unfair. Have to pay to go back which I won’t be doing, after to speaking to other people it seems this won’t be the first time this has happened which is a real shame as they have one of the most recommended CBT people. Hope anyone who goes here has a better experience than
