Ace Motorcycle Training is a small yet busy school who have been training people to ride motorcycles and scooters safely on the road since 2000. We are also the only motorcycle training school in Bristol to have uniformed Full time employed instructors dedicated to helping people safely onto 2 wheels and have been chosen to do work for The Motorcycle Industry Association, Ducati UK and Fast Bikes magazine.
We offer a full range of courses including - CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) including female only days, Full licence courses, Back to Biking and Post-test training including motorways. At ACE we will take care of all your training needs, all you need to do now is book and turn up!

Services
This course is normally completed in one day though further training is sometimes required to ensure your safety and so that you can enjoy your riding to the full. Once completed you will be issued with a CBT certificate which will be valid for 2 years before it will need to be renewed. You do not need any previous experience.
It doesn't really matter which way round you do the CBT and Theory (though you may find it useful to do the CBT first) but both steps must be completed before training for the two-part test. You must pass both parts of your practical test within 2 years of taking the theory test to gain your full motorcycle licence.
We know that transporting your motorcycle can feel like a stressful experience as not only are you transporting your vehicle you are doing so with a stranger. This is why we have a large van fitted with a ramp specifically for the transportation of motorbikes. It is the perfect service for when you have brought a brand-new bike but cannot transport it home.

We offer the full range of Motorcycle Training Courses from CBT to A1 Test, A2 Test to Direct Access Course (DAS) for the over 24s.

Thoroughly enjoyed my CBT with Ace Motorcycle Training. This was my second attempt at my CBT, but the Ace team helped settle my nerves with their clear instructions and gave me many tips to help me settle into the joy of riding. A huge thank you to my instructor Les for his patience and positive attitude throughout the day, especially considering the very cold weather. His friendly, informative, and calm attitude allowed me to build my confidence throughout the day and I thoroughly enjoyed riding on the roads. I am excited to get out on my bike now that I have passed my CBT thanks to Ace!

Superb training.
A big thank you to Martin for the refresher training I did with him today.
Having not ridden a motorcycle for 25 years and being a bit nervous about the weight of my new bike,
Martin took me through everything from the basics onwards. He listened to my specific concerns and worked with me to overcome them.
The training has made me a much more confident and safer rider.
If you are a born again biker thinking about refresher training my advice is to absolutely do it. You won't regret it.
It might be a bit cliché, but it could be the best money you've ever spent.

Big thank you to Twiggy and Shane, had to wait a while to get a CBT place with Ace but there's a reason they are so busy. Excellent tuition and patience from both instructors in the morning session and an enjoyable afternoon with Twiggy. CBT complete and on first solo ride could still hear Twiggys voice. For me it is a sign of a good instructor when they stay with you after the trainingđź‘Ťwill be back for the rest of my licence in a few months.

Highly recommend this training school, best in Bristol for me.
I did my CBT twice with 2 other schools as I renewed it after my first 2 years. After my second CBT, I decided to change school to find a better training team and the first one closed and found the perfect school with Ace.
Kelly is an amazing office manager
and managed to get me booked in for Mod 1 respectively quickly for mod1 considering the covid back log. Mod 2 then was just as quick. I had too postpone mod2 due to injury at shirt notice and not only she was kind and reassuring, but sorted me with a new date straight away will

I have just passed my MOD 1 test with no faults and hitting an impressive 68kph on the emergency stop exercise, this would not have been possible without the help of ACE Motorcycle Training – My first impressions of ACE Motorcycle training was organised chaos however don’t be fooled the staff and instructors are 100% professional and no their stuff. Big thanks to Peter who trained me how to do a U-turn with power, speed and conviction also a big thanks to Martin for the breathing exercise just before the test (This is a top tip guys/girls – this helps loads with the nerves)
