Oldfield Brow Primary School
We have just had completed some major building works to the school and we currently have eleven classes in the school with one extra room opening each year until 2021. By then we'll have 15 classrooms! All of our classrooms and facilities have been built to the highest standards, they bring together both form and function and are bright, airy and spacious.

We have a large grassed field, a large playground and an astro-turf pitch too! We are also proud to have a play area dedicated to our Foundation Stage children and an enclosed courtyard too. All the classrooms have been designed by their teachers. They all have modern interactive white boards and computers for the children to follow up work and carry out research.
Services
At the core of our school is its curriculum, not only what the children are taught but how they are taught and why we teach what we do at Oldfield Brow. We want to make the curriculum enticing and invigorating, where children are active learners and we are clear of the outcomes we expect for every child in our care.
Here at Oldfield Brow we are proud to be part of our local community and help host and promote our local community clubs for adults and families. We have a large hall space that is available for Birthday parties and personal celebrations, along with a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), Class room spaces and an IT suite.
We seek to create an environment in the school which encourages and reinforces good behaviour. Furthermore, it is acknowledged that society expects good behaviour as an important outcome of the educational process. It is a primary aim of our school that every member of the school community feels valued and respected, and that each person is treated fairly and well.
The role of the Governing Body is key in ensuring the successful development in the school. At Oldfield Brow, the Headteacher is a governor but there are many others from a variety of backgrounds that help make the important decisions in the life of ouir school. But what is important is that they all care about the direction in which the school is developing!
Admissions to the main school are looked after by Trafford Local Authority for entry into our Reception Class and Years 1 to 6. For further details of the arrangements, please contact Trafford Admissions. They can be contacted using one of the various methods below. The Governing Body follows Trafford's admissions policy for the main school but coordinates the admissions process into its own Nursery.

I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. From the application process, to information evenings and settling in days the school and staff have been amazing. Nothing has been too much trouble and my partner and I were made to feel at ease sending our little boy here.
Our son has settled and slotted in to nursery/pre-school life perfectly thanks to the foundations the school have given him. He runs in to nursery each morning full of enthusiasm, ready to see his friends. To say he adores the staff would be an understatement, he talks about them constantly at home asking if we think they would like certain things etc and picking daisies for them to say thank you.
The nursery has had an extension and fabulous makeover over the summer. The space is nice and open with a modern feel whilst maintaining a cosy environment for the children to learn in. It's tastefully decorated and takes on the curiosity approach to learning using natural resources where possible.

Oldfield Brow primary school is one of the best schools that I have been to. Their teachers are very sweet and very nice. My daughter is currently in nursery but is going to reception and the teachers: Mrs Plimmer and Miss Brickhill (nursery teachers) are so sweet and so kind, I can definitely rely on them for teaching my daughter good things and educational things in her class. They are very kind and soft to their students and they are so friendly and easy to talk to. I am very very happy and satisfied that Mrs Plimmer and Miss Brickhill are my daughters teachers and I would definitely recommend

A well love school, community focused. The head teacher is passionate and enthusiastic. The Ofsted outstanding rating is well deserved but there is a lot more to the school than ticking the boxes, it's a place for children and parents to feel welcome and part of the community.
