Alan received his diploma from Sir Harold Spencer Jones, F.R.S.,M A.,S cD.,F .R.A.S who was the president of the Institute and also the H.M Astronomer Royal. Today we still pride ourselves on working to the same principles and high standards of workmanship that we set in 1949.
