During the current pandemic, there are restrictions on every aspect of our lives and funerals are no exception. We are doing our best to deliver our services in as normal manner as possible, however there are certain things you will need to be aware of when arranging a funeral with us. We hope that you will find the information here both informative and useful, whether you are visiting out of curiosity, necessity or somewhere in between.
Services
We know that every family is different, and our approach of building a funeral specifically for your loved-one allows you to express their individuality and give them the send-off they deserve. The company is run by John Worley, with his son Mark also working within the team. Between us we have many years of experience in advising on, arranging and conducting funerals.
We're here to arrange a funeral for your loved-one when you need us. From a traditional funeral, to a celebration of a person's life, we will guide you through the process, take care of the arrangements, and deliver the funeral you want. We are pleased to work in partnership with Golden Charter, offering you a range of funeral plans.
Back in 2017 we partnered with with FuneralGuide to allow our clients to review our services, and ensuring that these reviews are both genuine and verifiable. Since a pilot rollout of their service, we have received over 400 reviews, with scores averaging over 4.9 out of 5, becoming the most reviewed independent funeral directors in Dacorum and the surrounding boroughs.
The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) is a trade association whose members are all independent funeral directors. The funeral service they offer is not part of a national or international conglomerate or chain, but is privately owned and managed. In fact, a large proportion of our members funeral homes have been run by the same family for generations.
There comes a stage in all our lives when it's natural to think about when we won't be here. We wonder about loved ones and what to leave them. There are some things, however, that we wouldn't wish to leave them. This includes the worry of deciding on the funeral arrangements and meeting the costs.

I originally was going to use the Co-Op for historical reasons but enquired of Worley as the care home where dad was a resident had an arrangement with them. From the initial contact with Pam, I knew that I would use them as and when dad passed away. The response was courteous, sympathetic, unhurried and never pushy. All my questions were answered including a detailed breakdown of costs. I was pleasantly surprised at the costings too.
I am very pleased that I did use them as the same experience was felt right up to the day of dad's funeral which happened quicker than expected. Nothing was too

Helped us arrange my late father's funeral. Very professional, made it as painless as it possibly could be. Simon Allen, the humanist celebrant they suggested, was also absolutely brilliant.
