Moorside Primary School

It is this ethos that has been a driving force in Moorside becoming the lead school in both the Moorside Teaching School and the Salford Alliance of Learning Schools. An alliance consisting of 10 diverse schools, united by the desire to provide high quality training and support in the local area and the next generation of Outstanding Teachers.

Moorside Community Primary School follows 'Salford LA' admissions procedures and likewise parents must follow these procedures when applying for full-time education. Places in Nursery are allocated on a full-time basis at the moment. Please be aware that admission to our Nursery does not guarantee admission to the Reception class.

This information is intended for parents who are interested in using our extended hour's childcare facilities. It outlines some key policies and procedures that parents need to be aware of and the expectations of children, parents and staff. Moorside Plus is run by Moorside Community Primary School and is situated in the Key Stage One Breakout Areas and the Main Hall.

We have worked hard over the years to develop the variety of extra-curricular activities on offer. All teachers, and many of our teaching assistants, run a club for at least a term. From time to time other clubs are staffed by specialists in sport, music and science. This allows us to offer around 50 different clubs throughout the year for our children.

Our dedicated Inclusion Team identify and coordinate support to ensure that the individual, holistic needs of our children are met enabling all of our learners to flourish and achieve higher than they thought possible. Support is allocated in collaboration with parents, carers and outside agencies and provided not only for the child but their families too.
