The Hopbine is a freehouse nestled away in an idyllic location. Tucked in the countryside, opposite picturesque cottages and with an open log-fire throughout winter, The Hopbine epitomises all that a country pub should be. Our menu choices are freshly prepared on premises, using locally sourced ingredients.
The kitchen serves handmade pizzas that are cooked in a wood fired oven, plus traditional pub classics and Sunday Roasts. The Hopbine boasts a cellar, highly prized when maintaining real ales. We have a selection of cask and keg ales, lagers and ciders from local breweries including Tonbridge Brewery and Longman Brewery.

Went for a Sunday roast today after a lovely walk. Unfortunately for some reason our booking online hadn’t gone through. The staff were super accommodating and managed to squeeze us in even though they were… fully booked! Can’t remember the last time we had service like that! Even the locals were super friendly to us and made us feel so welcome. The food was also lovely 👍. We’ll def be stopping by again 🥰 a small cozy pub, that has a lovely atmosphere and good grub 👍

Roast beef was lovely. Older gentleman that served was really friendly. Woman behind the bar was more interested in her phone than serving ignored us at the bar for 5 mins as she was on her phone and then told us we could order drinks at our table then took 30 mins to serve us, there were no other customers waiting at the bar and the restaurant was quiet she was just on her phone thought it was very rude.

Really well kept traditional country pub with an excellent local real ale selection.
The pub is quite small inside and out. Having said that you didn't feel cramped at all.
There are quite a few outside seating options in the stepped garden or outside the front of the pub. Not really suitable for anyone not too steady on their feet though due to the number of steps.
There is also a small children's play area in the garden.
We didn't eat but the food looked good.

Delicious Pulled pork burger and fries. The pork was tender with a nice juicy bbq cider sauce and the Chipotle coleslaw contrasted well with the temperature and added a little kick to it, sandwiched together with a nice soft brioche bun. Fries were crispy and filling.
For £11.95 I enjoyed the meal but only thing I would say for that price is if the bun could be slightly toasted and the fries to be skin on as it seemed like they werent home made as otherwise I think £9.95 or £10.95 would be more ideal.

As I climbed the hill on my trusty bike I was faced with the welcome sight of The Hopbine Inn. It was 17:45 and the humble pub began to buzz. As I entered I noticed there were reservations signs on most of the available dining tables.
I took a look at the menu and asked the staff for recommendations. The restricted range focussed on pizza and burgers. “Fast food in a traditional pub?!” I went along with it and ordered Mac and cheese for starter followed by a florentine pizza for main. When the food promptly arrived I was pleasantly surprised.
