At Malvern Primary School, our RSE curriculum is firmly embedded within our PHSE curriculum. Through our curriculum, we strive to provide our pupils with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives.

As part of a whole school approach, PSHE develops the qualities and attributes our pupil need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society, demonstrating their British values and incorporating elements of their social, moral, spiritual and cultural development.Jigsaw combines PSHE, emotional literacy, mindfulness, social skills and spiritual development.
At Malvern, our pupils learn to read and write effectively and quickly using the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme. Pupils in Year R to Year 2 who are learning to read and write and any pupils in Years 2, 3 and 4 who need to catch up rapidly. Decode letter-sound correspondences quickly and effortlessly, using their phonic knowledge and skills.
Please check back to see some of the lovely experiences that your child will be having in our setting over the course of the year. In Nursery, we aim to make each child's first experience of school warm, homely and nurturing; and a place in which their individual talents and interests are celebrated and extended, to encourage high quality learning.
We have P.E in Year 1 every week. It is very important that all children have a full school P.E kit in school every day. Although we have set days for P.E, on occasions we have extra P.E sessions or our P.E may be moved to an alternative day. Reading - Children should read every night at home. A record of your child's reading should be put into their planner.
